Her Job is done!

It has been a busy couple of weeks! I’m glad it has started to quiet down it gives me time to catch up on my gallery and on my Blog page.

Look at that smile.......it's done!

If you haven’t checked  the gallery recently  I have updated both the Mother and Daughter Art/Quilt show and the things you won’t see at the show albums. I encourage you to try the slide show in the Mother and Daughter Art/Quilt show, you can adjust the speed and the size of the screen. I think this makes the album of the show come to life! Almost like you were there!

More news! I was elected to be the President of my Quilting Guild in NH. Actually it is a Volunteer position…..but then you still have to step up and take the gavel. I was Vice President for my guild two years in a row, I was program intern and program chair. I was the Challenge chair for 3 years and now I move up to the top spot during our upcoming biennial Quilt show year…such excitement! Wish me luck!

The first “Lectshop” was a Success!

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

Our quilt show is over and was a great success!  Our last guild meeting(till September) was last night and I did my First “Lectshop” for a captive audience! It was awesome! I think that small guilds and guilds with limited funds will enjoy this format!

Just to recap what a “Lectshop” is: I give a 10-20 minute lecture on a subject related to the techniques I plan to do in the mini workshop. Then I begin my demonstration which last from 5-20 minutes. After that I invite the members to come up close and observe or participate!

I am willing to do this for small guilds, large guilds, quilt shows and quilting bees. For smaller guilds and quilting bees I will work on a per person basis along with a mileage fee for those groups that are within 1 to 2 hrs of my own home. For those who are farther away I am willing to stay in a quilt members house (especially if they are dog people) overnight after the meeting before heading back to New Hampshire.

Also any program person who is reading this, I am willing to be shared by more than one guild in the same week. Again all I need is a clean bed and a meal or 2.

Now time for some cleaning and cooking as my quilting bee is coming over tomorrow evening!

PS: Pictures of the fabric we made during the workshop will be posted soon!
