Wednesday, August 24th, 2011A hanging for my Mom’s new digs
Monday, June 13th, 2011My Mom handed me these 4 patches when I was leaving in May after we took down the Art/quilt show. My Mom had taken the patches off my Dad’s Curling jackets and sweaters. The 3rd patch was the original design my father created for the Darien Curling Club in Connecticut. My dad loved curling and as a child I had gone to the curling club to watch and my dad’s friends taught me card tricks and entertained me while my dad curled.
This small hanging is for my mom’s new digs in NC. She said that this move is”a new adventure”, that’s what my dad said right before he died in 2009. I hope this hanging will give my mother happy memories.
Exciting News!
Wednesday, May 25th, 2011I was asked by the Rowland Gallery in Concord,NH (Where I have gotten a # of my mother’s pictures framed) to bring in some of my Wearable Art.
I brought all the items I had in my possession on Monday and on Tuesday I dropped off 2 body forms for the pieces to be displayed in their front window! I will have my wearable art in the front window on Consignment and if anyone wants a custom item I left information about that as well!
Kudos
