Amoskeag Quilters Guild

quiltshowA group of ladies met in 1988 as a result of a common interest-quilting. From that meeting sprung the Amoskeag Quilter’s Guild . We’ve grown to a membership of over 200 participants. Together, we meet to share our love of quilting and to learn from each other. But this is not just a social group. We also commit our time and knowledge and joy of quilting in the form of charitable contributions and service to our community. AQG is based in Manchester, NH , where I was the Program Director and Vice President (both were 2 yr posts). This will be my third season as the Challenge  Chairperson. This year the challenge is:Recycle, reduce, reuse, you can read more about in my October posts.
AQG is proud to sponsor a biennial Quilt Show which presents it’s members’ quilts for viewing by friends, family, and the public. The proceeds from this show is the primary fund-raiser for our non-profit guild. The proceeds from the raffle quilt and baskets goes to a charity that is chosen by the members of the guild.
